We would like to welcome an enthusiastic and confident Receptionist in to our GP surgery. With customer service, organisation and telephone skills that are that are outstanding; you will be an integral member of our friendly practice team. Your role will vary between working in our Back Office answering telephone calls & working on the Reception Desk.

This is a challenging role, in a fast paced environment, so confidence when working with the public & the ability to learn & retain information on a wide variety of practice processes is vital for success.

You will work the same shifts each week, but on occasion flexibility with hours may be required. We are recruiting for two Reception positions, one at 20 hours and one at 24 hours per week with the following shift patterns.

20 hours per week

Mon 8am – 12pm

Tue 2pm – 7pm

Wed 2pm – 7pm

Thu 12pm – 6pm

24 hours per week

Mon 8am – 3.30pm

Tue 8am – 3pm

Wed 8am – 3pm

Thu 8am – 12pm

The ideal candidate will be:

· confident, personable & articulate when working with the public

· able to manage conflict appropriately

· able to follow variety of processes and procedures

· able to pick up new PC systems

· able to prioritize and think on your feet

· hard working, reliable and loyal

· experienced in medical reception work & processing prescriptions

Terms:

· 20 or 24 hours per week

· Rate of pay: £8.88ph

Our GP practice is Covid-19 secure & strictly follows all government guidelines on working in a clinical setting. All appropriate PPE is provided to staff & staff safety is our top priority.

Experience:

  • Medical Receptionist: 1 year (Preferred)
  • receptionist: 1 year (Required)

Job Duties:

  • Greeting and welcoming visitors
  • Managing correspondence
  • Answering phone calls and transferring them as necessary
